The historic Old Québec, the first North American city to be included on UNESCO's prestigious world heritage list, is the ideal venue for a fun and educational tour by foot. All major points of interest are within walking distance from the Convention Center for all registered Accompanying members of WCA-2012.

Take a step back in time and visit the only walled city in North America. This enclave of cobbled lanes and winding streets weaves together monuments, museums, churches, shops and outdoor cafes. See and feel the unique "old world" ambiance of Québec City. Old Québec will offer you pleasant surprises at every turn. The tour begins at the Québec Convention Center, visit the Place Royale, the cradle of French civilization in North America located in the lower part of the Old City. Included are stops at historic buildings, the Plains of Abraham - site of the decisive and final battle between the armies of Montcalm and Wolfe - and Le Petit Champlain, the oldest commercial street in North America.

Part of the tour will be walking and part by motor coach.

It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes as the streets are lined with cobblestones. There will be numerous photo opportunities. Make sure to bring your Camera and the Tour Voucher handed to you with your registration.
